Speech
Therapy
Therapy
is offered to children and adults for stuttering, voice,
articulation, and other speech disorders, language disorders, and
swallowing disorders. We begin with an in-depth evaluation
to determine the nature and extent of the problem. Following
a comprehensive treatment plan, our therapists work one-on-one to
help patients achieve maximum progress. Our multi-lingual
staff can provide services and counsel family members in a variety
of languages. Services are also available in our offices,
and in hospitals, convalescent homes and at home.
Accent
Reduction
Accent
reduction can bring many benefits, both social and
professional. At Community, we offer a variety of proven
accent reduction programs, custom designed to improve
pronunciation, intonation and speaking style. Programs are
offered in our office's and can be made available at local
facilities and business.
Early
Childhood Communication Assessment Program
A
communication disorder, left undetected and untreated, can
seriously hinder a child's development. This program spots
and treats problems before they disrupt growth and interfere with
progress in school. Children from six months to three years
are carefully evaluated. Each child's level of development
is charted, delay's pinpointed and individualized treatment plan
started.
Audiology
Hearing
is at the core of successful communication. To accurately
determine the nature and degree of a person's hearing loss, a
comprehensive battery of tests is used. Once our staff has
isolated the problem, we employ a host of therapeutic techniques
to minimize the hearing impairment and to maximize the ability of
hearing impaired individuals to cope with the demand of
communication in today's society.

Aids
A
wide selection of hearing aids are available with makes and models
for both both adults and children. Every hearing aid is
selected with care and painstakingly fitted. For
convenience, both service and accessories are offered at both
locations. And for added peace of mind, all instruments are
warranted and come with a 30 day trial plan.
Aural
Rehabilitation
Aural
Rehabilitation can be effective in reducing the handicap of
hearing loss. At Community Speech and Hearing Center, our
therapists employ assessment, speech reading techniques and
auditory training to improve a person's ability to understand the
speech of others. Each program is specifically tailored to
the needs of the individual child or adult patient.
Assistive
Services and Devices
We
are pleased to announce the latest addition to our services, our
Assistive Listening Device Department. In this department,
we offer a wide variety of electronics devices that help the
hearing challenged achieve a higher quality of life. From
vibrating alarm clocks to door bell alerting devices, we have
access to every available device to serve patients with a broad
range of hearing impairment.
Counseling
Speech
or hearing problems often have emotional components which can
affect both the patient and family members. Counseling
services are available by licensed therapists, as well as the
treating speech pathologist or audiologist.
